Java Bere is a Yorkshire-based artist, writer and creative facilitator whose work is rooted in observation, imagination and the rhythms of family life. Through drawing, interiors and storytelling, she explores how creativity can help us navigate memory, loss and belonging.
Sophie Wilson is a Dorset-based ceramicist whose richly layered work draws together history, folklore, language and domestic life. Working with slipware, sgraffito and text, she creates pieces that weave personal narrative with references drawn from centuries of decorative and ceramic traditions.
Florence Coenraets is a Brussels-based artist whose feather sculptures inhabit the space between art, craft and ritual. Trained as an architect, she works with collected and hand-dyed feathers to create tactile, atmospheric works that explore balance, movement and the relationship between the tangible and unseen.
Lulu Guinness is a British designer celebrated for her distinctive blend of wit, femininity and visual theatre. Best known for transforming the handbag into a cultural object, she reflects on a life in design and a creative practice that now extends beyond fashion into interiors, craft and decorative arts.
Emily Powell is a British painter whose vivid, colour-driven work explores memory, emotion and place. Living in the fishing port of Brixham, Devon, she draws inspiration from the shifting light of the harbour and coastline, using paint as a means of navigating both landscape and inner life.
Irish artist, Jennie Moran, explores how food, conversation and acts of care can foster connection, belonging and community.
We travel to Cairo to visit the Wissa Wassef Art Centre, where artistic expression is nurtured rather than taught. More than seventy years after Ramses Wissa Wassef founded his pioneering weaving project, successive generations continue to foster creativity, individuality and craftsmanship through one of Egypt’s most remarkable artistic communities.
We step inside the pages of the beautiful new book, Egypt: Recipes and Stories from an Ancient Land. Authors Suzanne Zeidy and Rawah Badrawi reflect on the family histories, landscapes and shared experiences that inspired their exploration of Egyptian food culture.
We travel to Casa Satio, a converted barn in southwest France, where Brazilian artist Johanna Meyer and German sculptor Joerg Koziol create work shaped by material, intuition and dialogue.
